The module defines bat-id's authentication and session management. The mobile device acts as the access control point, including for opening a session on a large screen.

Functions

  • Passwordless login — authentication via an OTP code received by SMS. Identity is based on the phone number.
  • Mobile biometric lock — access protected by Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint, with automatic locking after inactivity.
  • Opening a desktop session by QR — a session on a large screen is opened by scanning a QR from the mobile device, without entering a password and without leaving a persistent trace on the machine.
  • Session control — lists connected devices and allows revoking a session remotely.
  • Native applications — available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

Details

  • The mobile and desktop views are two presentations of the same bat-id account: identical content.
  • The desktop session is triggered and revoked from the mobile application.
  • Monitoring alerts are sent by push notification (by default) and by e-mail.
